  1. ANY VIOLATION OF RODEO RULES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION AND FORFEITURE OF ALL RIGHTS, PRIZES, OR WINNINGS IN ANY AND ALL CATEGORIES BY THE PERSON DISQUALIFIED. DECISION OF THE JUDGES WILL BE FINAL! (The Captains of all boats are responsible for their anglers! Disqualification of any person on board their respective boats will lead to a total disqualification of that particular boat and persons on board weighing in of all fish species!)
  2. Jackpots: Boats entering either jackpot must have one jackpot ticket per boat. Each person on board must have a rodeo ticket – See Jackpot Rules
  3. All fish entered must be caught on Rod & Reel (Hook & Line).
  4. The catch shall not be frozen, gigged, netted, snagged, or shot, and must be whole. The only holes allowed are hook and gaff.
  5. Each person on board a participating boat must have a rodeo ticket.
  6. No person shall increase the weight of the fish by “stuffing”. (The fish will be cut.)
  7. All catches must be weighed in at the Dauphin Island Marina weigh in station during the above hours. NOTE: At the close of the Rodeo (5:00PM) those anglers who are in line at the weigh station or identified by an MSS Rodeo Official as being inside the D.I. Marina basin waiting to dock, as the weigh station closes, will be allowed to have their catch weighed and entered in the Rodeo. Each angler in line or inside the basin waiting to dock at weigh station closing, as noted above, will be given a Weigh-in Card to present to weigh station personnel.
  8. All fishing will be done in a sportsmanlike manner as Ladies and Gentlemen.
  9. The decision of the judges will be final in all respects, specifically as to weight, species, and method of catch.
  10. In case of a tie the winner will be determined by the fish weigh-in time.
  11. All fish entered in the rodeo must be caught in the specified time period.
  12. Protest of any nature must be in writing and personally presented to the rodeo chairman no later than 5:00 P.M. the day of rodeo.
  13. All entries must comply with State and Federal regulations. No undersized fish will be allowed.
  14. Mystic Stripers Society reserves the right to change any fish species for competition should conservation laws prohibit the harvest of originally designated species for competition.
  15. Fish may be brought to scale by vehicle or boat to be weighed.
  16. Any entrant(s) disqualified for violations of State, Federal, or MSS Fishing Rodeo laws or rules will be permanently banned from participating in future MSS Fishing Rodeos.
  17. In the event of severe inclement weather the tournament will be held Sunday the 17th of June 2018. Should the weather on this alternate date be unsatisfactory the committee will announce the future date. (The Judge and Committee reserve the right to reschedule).

All prizes must be claimed within a 14-day period following the close of the rodeo! Any and all prizes unclaimed after that date will be the property of Mystic Stripers Society!

Participants enter at their own risk. Neither the tournament nor any person connected with the tournament shall be liable for any loss, damage, negligence, harm or injury to any person or to any equipment for any reason.

A Tory Meter may be used in case of protest or conflict! All contestants will be subject to a “lie detector test” in case of conflict!
